If you have attended TrailHike's events at Pine Crest, you will know first hand that it is an amazing place staffed with a wonderful team who is passionate about people, the outdoors and having fun.

Twice a year, Pine Crest invites VOLUNTEERS to prepare their camp facilities for the summer activities and the winter months. If you are interested to volunteer, read on for more details!

NOTE: we will be doing Trail Maintenance - in particular the Sugar Maple and Bog Trais

**Cost, Lodging, Meals, Transport**
There is no $cost to you for the volunteer WORK weekend.
You will be there to work.
Your lodging and meals are provided by the camp
You are responsible for your own transportation to/from camp.

You must submit and undergo the camp's volunteer registration process.
Observe all COVID-19 and safety protocols required by the camp.

**Steps to register**

**What to bring**

PACK clothing and footwear according to the weather.

BRING toiletries & bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, bath towel, etc).

BRING slippers or indoor shoes to wear inside the lodge and dining room (else you have to walk around in socks or go barefoot while indoors!)

Do NOT bring nuts or nut products or food with traces of nuts.

TIP: If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs to block out any noise/snoring during the night. The walls are thin!

**Lodging**

Volunteers will be housed in dormitory-style lodges or cabins at the camp. Each lodge is heated, has 1 common sitting area, 2 shared bathrooms with toilets and shower stalls, 6 rooms with each room having 2 bunk beds with vinyl-covered mattresses - usually 2 adults will share a room.

Close to the event date, I will contact the camp organizer to provide our list of preferred roommates. They will try to accommodate as best possible.

**Transportation/Carpool**

You may use this event's comments to arrange car-pools.

When asking about carpools, either offering or needing, please provide the location for pickup (main intersection, carpool lot, etc) and approximate time you are available to start the trip. Discuss any cost sharing directly with the drivers.
