Hike the Zirkel Circle in Fall Colors Weekend in Steamboat Springs!

Hey guys!
I've been wanting to check out the aspen changing in and around the Steamboat Springs area for years. I thought i would throw a weekend out there for anyone who is interested in going.
I expect the fall to be warmer than normal so we should be getting some great hiking weather through October. The aspen should be at or near peak this weekend so i expect that we should see some amazing golden aspen groves along our hike!
The Hike
We will plan to do the Zirkel Cirle located in the Zirkel Wilderness Area. The hike itself is 10.6 miles with 2,440 feet in elevation gain. This fantastic trail through the Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area features a variety of views throughout. It's a steady climb up to Gilpin Lake and even steeper along the switchbacks leading up to the pass, followed by a steady descent as you loop back around past Gold Creek Lake. I've heard this area is known for it's rugged terrain and great views so be prepared for some great views with the aspen changing!

Strawberry Hot Springs
One of the jewels near Steamboat Springs is the Strawberry Hot Springs. It boasts multiple pools surrounded by granite rock outcroppings that are varying temperatures topping 100 degrees. We'll head on over there post hike to rest our muscles and relax.

The Place
The place is a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath condo right in Steamboat which has all of the amenities we need for a fun weekend. If you haven't gotten enough of the Strawberry Hot Springs there is a hot tub on site along with a BBQ grill and indoor fireplace.
