What we’re about
Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) is an innovative self-care practice that taps straight into the nervous system to release deep muscular tension, chronic stress, and many forms of trauma.
Simple exercises that fatigue the lower body, allow for "shaking" and "tremoring" which helps us shift into a healthy parasympathetic nervous system state, bringing about lower blood pressure and heart rate, slower respiration, and greater coherence between all systems of the body.
This easy-to-learn practice allows for the bio-intelligence to activate and bring about more ease and adaptability into the system.
Please note: YOU MUST BE PHYSICALLY ABLE TO STAND AND LIE ON THE FLOOR.
This system is used in over 60 countries for recovery from chronic stress and post-trauma symptoms due to life-in-general, accidents, natural disasters and political violence.
TRE is easy to learn and then execute on your own so you have a go-to method for stress relief.
This is free for WNC Hurricane Helene folks (local or evacuated) Be sure to register ahead of time to reserve your spot.
We'll begin with a history of the practice as well as gain a basic understanding of nervous system responses and how they impact everything we do. Together, we’ll then go through a series of exercises that activates your body’s natural mechanism for discharging excess tension which has accumulated over a life's worth of fight/flight/freeze responses.
