In the Shadow of Himalayas | Scooter Journey Across Kathmandu Valley, Nepal

Despite Nepal is mainly associated with mountains and the Himalayas, it is a country of contrasts, the quintessence of diversity. Here the eight-thousanders and ancient temples stand side by side, while vibrant, sometimes bustling and crowded cities border vast jungles and savannas. It is a land where culture, art, and spirituality intertwine in an unforgettable mosaic of experiences.

Every adventure starts in Kathmandu, primarily known for its religion and mysticism, thanks to its countless pilgrims and stupas such as famous Monkey Temple. Here you will immerse yourself in the culture and traditions that have been nurtured for centuries. Through bustling streets and UNESCO Heritage sites, you will submit yourself to its charms.

Leaving the busy capital behind, we ll drive deep inside Kathmandu valley and breathe in fresh, Himalayan air and enjoy scenic views as an escape from the hustle. That’s where your reliable scooter and a quick get-away to its beauty come into play.

The Kathmandu Valley is considered to be the place with the highest concentration of temples, monasteries, and small chapels per sq km in the world.
Towards Nagarkot with every twist and turn, from temple visits to scenic rides, this route will leave you with memories as thrilling as the ride itself. We will pass by small mountain villages, exceptional panoramas of subtropical forests, breathtaking multi-thousand peaks, and mysterious temples engulfed in incense smoke. The locals, always smiling and warm-hearted, greet visitors with a heartfelt "Namaste!", making everyone want to come back.

Let’s go!

Day 01 :: Arrival in Kathmandu / Test drive

Meeting at airport for direct flight to Kathmandu, immigration clearance and check in to hotel
Later in the day, we will head out for a short 30-minute test ride to get comfortable with your scooter and the roads before the tour begins.

Day 02 :: Scooter ride: Swayambhunath, Patan durbar square, Boudhanath

After breakfast, we will start our scooter ride at Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), where we will explore the hilltop stupa, witness prayer rituals, see playful monkeys, and enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu. Towards the scenic roads to Pharping, visiting its peaceful Buddhist monasteries and caves. Our journey will then take us to Dakshinkali Temple, where we will experience lively Hindu rituals dedicated to Goddess Kali. Next, we’ll ride to Patan Durbar Square, park our scooters, and explore the royal palace and temples before grabbing lunch amidst its rich cultural ambiance. Finally, we’ll wrap up the day at Boudhanath Stupa, taking in the spiritual vibe before heading back to the hotel.

Day 03 :: Scooter ride: Bhaktapur Durbar Square to Nagarkot

Today we start with Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where we will explore its centuries-old architecture, vibrant local life, and visit the iconic Nyatapol Temple. At Pottery Square, we will witness traditional pottery-making in action, offering an immersive experience of Bhaktapur’s artisanal heritage.

Next, a scenic ride to the Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its intricate carvings and ancient history. From there ascend to Nagarkot, a hilltop destination famous for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas. As we ride through lush landscapes, we will soak in the serene surroundings, making it a perfect end to our day.

Day 04 :: Himalayan sunrise / Scooter ride: Kathmandu Valley

We will start our day with a breathtaking sunrise in Sarangkot. Breakfast and begin scenic ride to Jarsing Pauwa, passing through lush landscapes and experiencing the spiritual atmosphere at the Bajrayogini Temple.

Continuing to Sankhu, to witness traditional Newari architecture and the calm ambiance of this historic town. Next, we’ll head to Budhanilkantha Temple, for a selfie with Sleeping Vishnu and tranquil surroundings. Finally, we will head back to our hotel for some well-deserved rest and perhaps a Nepali massage or two, before starting preparation for countdown to NYE in Nepali style! Next “little party never killed nobody” NYE celebration in Thamel.

Day 05 :: Free time at leisure / Departure

Free time at leisure to explore city on your own, before heading back to airport for a flight back home.

Activities: Scooter riding, sightseeing, celebrating NYE Nepali style.
Accommodation & meals: 4 star hotel, double sharing. Meals excluded, except NYE Gala dinner.

Cost: 5250 AED incl. flights until DEC 1st. Optional Shirodhara at 380 AED extra.

Excluded: Visa, meals, entry fees if any.
