Skeptics talk ... and eat and drink and
Details
By suggestion of those who have attended these events in the past, we're setting up a recurring repeat of the "Skeptics talk ..." Fourth Friday of the month for a few months. Seems people would like to talk to others in their personal situations - kid stuff, including school shit, escaping religions of all sorts, retiring/not-retiring, bitch-worthy family stuff, ... hell, anything ya wanna talk about.
Just an amusing aside about the name of the place: turns out the people that developed the Hub of Kennewick have a child named Summer, so they put her name in the logo - it's NOT a seasonal thing.
The venue turns out to be easily accessible and diverse enough with Food Trucks and a couple of dozen taps in the Hub itself that everyone can find something they like. There are lots of picnic-style tables with even more expansion space outside when the weather is good. Plenty of space and variations of table placement to accommodate all sorts of discussions. AND getting home at a bit after 9 PM is pretty nice for some of us oldsters. You drinking-dancing-whooping-it-up crowd have time to head somewhere else with lots of time to start the weekend as you like.
If you'd let us know if you can come - or have a problem with the venue or date or time or ... whatever - we might be able to change things around in the future. I'll try to keep an eye on the Facebook pages to see comments. I might even check it out here, too.
Every 4th Friday of the month until December 27, 2024
