Game night!
Details
We are finally opening back up after more than a year long shutdown.
WHO WE ARE:
We are about BOARD GAMES! We play a lot of them. The picture above is a tiny subset of my collection, and people will also bring games with them. These games may be different than what you think of when you think board games, but they are a lot of fun.
If you enjoy spending your time with intelligent and social people, this group is for you. If you enjoy solving puzzles, this group is for you. If you are super competitive and want to prove you are the best, this group is for you.
If you just want to hang out with friendly people while trying out something new, this group is also for you.
Not all of these games are competitive. Some of our favorite games are cooperative. Us against the game itself.

WHAT TO BRING:
I provide a ton of games and a space to play. I will occasionally have snacks and drinks, but not always. It is highly recommended that you bring over snacks/drinks for the group. We will have an area that they will be kept, and will be free to all attending. People tend to pick something up at the gas station on the way over. Our more zealous participants have been known to bake cakes, cookies, etc. We even have a chocolatier who brings in homemade chocolates regularly.
You are encouraged to bring along friends (just make sure to add them to your RSVP). Bringing additional games will never go amiss.

HOW DOES IT WORK:
If you are new, then it's pretty easy for you. We will ask a few questions, such as favorite board game if you have one. You will then be scooped up into a group a people to most likely play what we call a Gateway Game.
This type of game tends to have simple rules, and you should be able to get started within a few minutes of sitting down. One of our regulars will be able to teach the game, will answer any questions you have throughout the game, and will be available to offer advice if you choose to ask for any.
We all know what it's like to be new. We will take care of you.

HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST:
My rules have always been simple. It lasts until the last person goes home. There have been nights I've gone to bed and had the last few people finish up their games and lock up on the way out.
Each of the games tend towards 60-90 minutes. If you have hard deadlines, asking before the game starts how long it usually lasts is a very typical question.

ETIQUETTE:
There's a few rules that we ask for you to follow
- Nothing Personal
Sometimes games will have you make decisions that will help you and/or hurt another player. These moves aren't personal. We still love you. We just want you to lose badly.
- Stay the entire game
If you start a game with a group of people, we ask that you stay to finish it. Obviously, emergencies can crop up, and we understand. The social contract, however, is that we are here to play the games, and them ending because someone got bored and just walked away sucks for all involved.
If you have a hard deadline, let the group know. We will choose an appropriate game.
- Remember the goal
"When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -- Reiner Knizia

WHAT HAS CHANGED FOR OLD REGULARS:
I have moved into a new house, so the address has changed.

How to find me:
2635 Stratford Drive, Greensboro. Park on the street. If the weather is good, you will enter the back gate on the left side of the property and follow the path to stairs that lead to the basement. If the weather isn't good, the garage will be open and lit and you'll come in that way.
Every week on Friday
