Highland Fencing Study Group

This class is open to all members who have completed the beginner portion of the Napoleonic Fencing class.

This class focuses on learning Highland Broadsword fencing from the late 17th - early 19th Centuries. The current focus of the class is Old Style Broadsword from sources such as Page, McBane, and Lonnergan, with future classes looking to expand into companion weapons such as targe and ale house daggers. This study group aims to pursue a better understanding of Highland martial culture and the methods of fighting which would later influence British Military Swordsmanship.
