Scarecrow Making & Brews

Get your creative juices flowing and join us for a fun-filled afternoon of scarecrow building! We’ll provide all the materials needed to craft a unique scarecrow to enter into the Virginia State Fair competition together. Bring your ideas, enjoy some drinks, and socialize with friends as we work together to make something awesome!

What to Expect:

• All materials provided – just bring your creativity! 🎨
• We’ll build a free-standing scarecrow that meets the competition’s rules (see details below).
• Check out our Facebook group to vote on what design we’ll create as a team!
• Drinks and socialization are encouraged – it’s all about having fun with friends while we put it together. 🍻

Competition Rules:

• Must be free-standing/anchored.
• Scarecrow should be suitable for all audiences – the Fair has the right to disqualify any inappropriate entries.
• Maximum size: 6 ft. tall, 4 ft. wide.
• No animatronics or electric parts allowed.
• All limbs and accessories must be securely fastened.

Let’s get creative and aim for the top prize at the Fair! Whether you're an artist or just here for fun, this is the perfect way to celebrate the season with friends.

This event is free for all members. Spots are first claimed first confirmed. All attendees must have a confirmed ticket to attend.
