Volunteer - Thanksgiving Food Distribution
Details
Are you looking for a way to give back to the community and connect with others who share your passion for making a difference? Join us for an afternoon of volunteering with Richmond's Food Not Bombs, a grassroots organization dedicated to feeding those in need. Since its inception, Food Not Bombs has been committed to reclaiming food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it to those who are hungry, all while raising awareness about the issues of poverty and food insecurity.
We'll be gathering at Monroe Park, right across from the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, at 4:00 PM. Together, we'll help set up tents and tables, unload the food truck, and prepare to hand out free meals to anyone who needs them. This event is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while also meeting like-minded individuals who are passionate about social justice and community service.
The event will last for about two hours, and it will take place rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather.
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or this is your first time, your presence and support will make a big impact. We look forward to seeing you there and working together to support Richmond’s most vulnerable residents.
This is a members only event. Memberships start at $5/month and can be cancelled or paused at any time! We would love for you to join us.
This event is free for all members. All attendees must have a confirmed ticket to attend.
You can claim your spot here.
Once all spots are claimed and the event is sold out, those without a ticket will be moved to the waitlist on Meetup.
Parking: Street parking is available near Monroe Park, and there is also a pay-to-park garage close by for your convenience.
