Sabino Canyon New Loop

Join us for a Sabino Canyon Loop, a little different than my last loop.

Our hike starts on the Bear Canyon Trail, and takes us to the Sabino Lake Trail-Bluff Trail-Sabino Walkway-Rattlesnake Trail-Esperero Trail-Bear Canyon Trail-End.

The total distance is 3.4 miles, and the terrain is Easy-Moderate, with no lengthy up sections. Our expected hike time is 1 1/2 hours, with an estimated total time of 1 3/4 hours, including rest time. This equates to an average hiking speed of 2.25 miles per hour, which might be considered moderate, considering the moderate difficulty. Sign up if you are in good hiking shape, able to go at a moderate, not slow, pace.

Bring at least 1 liter of water for the 2 1/4 hour hike. Note that entry to Sabino Canyon requires an $8 fee if you don't have a pass.
