We have been getting together for about a year and a half. We meet on the C Street side of Peppertree Park in Tustin, every Saturday morning at 10:30. We play til about 11:30 or noon. I bring a large Bluetooth speaker. We play world music and request songs (pretty much open to any request songs 5 min or less so everyone has a chance to request). Some mornings we will play songs ALL from one continent. Other mornings we will play all requests or all seasonal songs. I provide all drums and small percussion instruments for kids. FREE use of drums.
Under 18 years must bring a parent or guardian.
There is a nearby playground for kids to play on if they want to do something else. The park has restrooms. You can park at the Tustin Area Senior Center or ON C Street. Dancing is allowed and encouraged. Sometimes we provide bubbles for the kids. You can bring your own drums, percussion instruments and bubbles!
If you want to meet super-duper nice people, drum or dance outdoors, decompress, join people who are open to world cultures, then come by on Saturday mornings. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
IMPORTANT—- bring your own folding chair for seating! Or a blanket. You can also put a chair leg through your dog’s leash handle to keep the dog close to you.
After a year and a half of doing this, I can say this… I have met very kind and fun people. Kids absolutely LOVE playing the instruments. We are 100% free of charge… just trying to bring a little joy to the world. No age limit - all ages welcome.
