What we’re about

There was a great Non-fiction book club that met in NE Mpls before COVID and now it's gone. This is a new group trying to capture some of the old magic.

Looking for (middle-aged) people to read and have interesting discussion on a different book each month. The aim is to cover a wide range of Non-fiction books such as:

  • COD: A Biography of the Fish that Changed the World by Mark Kurlansky
  • The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion by Jonathan Haidt
  • Thinking in Systems: A Primer by Donella Meadows
  • How Emotions Are Made: The Secret Life of the Brain by Lisa Barrett
  • The Line Becomes a River: Dispatches from the Border by Francisco Cantú

* I don't mean to specifically target singles for this group, but Meetup don't have a generic "topic" for middle aged people. Neither do the have one for Non-fiction books on their own. Silly, but true.
