What we’re about
Inspired by the excellent Off the Record meetup in Bristol, we are bringing the ‘like a book group for albums’ concept to Cardiff!
Rather than having a book to read each month, we will pick two albums to listen to. One of these will be something released within the last year or so, and the other will be an older album. We will then meet for a very informal chat about them (and pretty much anything else music-related!)
As the year goes on, we will be compiling a playlist of everyone's favourite tracks from the albums. You can vote for your favourite tracks and also suggest albums for future meetups at: https://www.twodooralbumclub.wales

See all- Kate Bush & Two Door Cinema Club - Christmas Special!Little Man Coffee, Cardiff
This month, as it's Christmas, in a departure from our usual format we have a wintry-themed album from Kate Bush and (it was only a matter of time!) an early one from Two Door Cinema Club.
Have a listen to both albums and then join us at Little Man Coffee for a (very) informal discussion about them!
Kate Bush: 50 Words for Snow (2018)
“For this album, I wanted to let the music take as long as it wanted and to make each song a story, to bring creatures of folklore and mythology to life, in a landscape of falling snow.” (Kate Bush)Two Door Cinema Club: Beacon (2012)
"Beacon is far more sophisticated and worldly than 2010's debut, Tourist History, replacing the youthful optimism of This Is the Life and the calypso tongue-twister Something Good Can Work with songs about homesickness, drugs, ABH and dumping perfectly nice girls. But it doesn't drop any pace, only adding meat and muscle to TDCC's populist melding of Friendly Fires, Foals and Vampire Weekend". (The Guardian)
