What we’re about

Uncoded is a non-profit focused on connecting Tech in Long Beach. Uncoded hosts Tech Events in Long Beach such as Meetups, Tech Industry Networking, Hacking Hangouts, Entrepreneur Pitch Events, and general nerd gatherings for learning & sharing.  We strive to foster local technology innovation to create personal and professional opportunities.

Our beginnings arose from the defunct LB Tech out of a desire to connect Tech professionals, hobbyists, companies, and entrepreneurs in Long Beach by hosting meetups and other technology events. Founded in June 2015 by non-paid volunteers, Our Mission is to cultivate a passionate, sharing, and inventive local tech culture through open, inclusive engagement with our community.

We do this by creating community awareness through outreach by helping volunteers that want to be involved in the local tech community to organize technology initiatives important to them. To this end we also engage with local tech influencers and city officials to find synergies.  Currently the folks that organize our events, mostly our board members, do fun tech things like Tech Meetups, Hack-a-thons, recurring Hacker & Coding Sessions, Tech Industry Networking Events, and entrepreneur pitch events.  If we're not doing something tech related, that you find interesting, please let us know.  We're always looking for help connecting with technologists as well as new board members to help make us better.

Our members have a wide array of interests in future and proven technologies.  Technology interests include Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Web & Application Development, Devops, Coding, FOSS, Gaming, Maker technologies such as 3D printing, High availability business apps, and more.
