**THIS IS NOT A RIDE POSTING, BUT RATHER AN ATTEMPT BY ME TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL SIGNED UP RIDERS RECEIVE IMPORTANT INFORMATION. I RECENTLY SENT A MESSAGE WITH RIDE INFORMATION TO EVERYONE, BUT I HAVE LEARNED THAT SOME MEMBERS DID NOT RECEIVE IT.**

**Key Largo Trip Riders:**
Here is information about the Key Largo Trip, including how to make your reservation at the Holiday Inn in Key Largo.

**HOLIDAY INN RESERVATION INFORMATION:**
To make the reservation call 866-733-8554 and tell them you are making a reservation under the group code "UFR". The reservation will be for the night of November 24 with a departure on the 25th. The nightly rate is $149 plus tax (12.5%). If you require a 1st floor room (there is no elevator), be sure and tell them. Our contract gives us a 72 hour cancellation window, so you must cancel by the morning of the 21st if you are unable to go and don't want to be charged for the room. **Once you have made your reservation please let me know with an email (petervosbury@gmail.com) so I can keep track.**

**PRE-DEPARTURE REQUESTS:**
Before we leave on the trip, I would appreciate it if you would do the following:
1\. Have your bike checked to make sure it is ready for an extended ride\, to include things like fluid levels\, tire condition and inflation pressure\, brake pad condition\, lights functioning properly\, etc\. Bring some oil with you in case you need to add some during the trip\.
2\. Make sure your insurance includes roadside assistance and that you have the correct contact information to make use of it\. If your bike breaks down during the ride someone in the group will stay with you until roadside assistance shows up\, and then they will catch up with the group\. Roadside assistance will need to take care of you and your bike\. I would recommend carrying an umbrella with you as a shield from the elements while you wait for assistance $I have a small one in my bike$\.
3\. The ride route is posted on the Meetup site\. Make sure you have it entered in your GPS or phone so you know the route we are taking\.
**4\. Provide me with your cellphone number\, and also the name and number of someone to contact in case of an emergency\.**

A few of us carry maintenance related items with us, including Gary K and I. These items include a few tools, a tire plugging kit, an air compressor, and a jump start battery. We can help with some types of breakdowns.

Gary K and John Abraham will have headset communication with me during the ride, so if the group gets split up by stop lights or traffic they will let me know. If that happens I will slow the rest of the group down so the others can catch up.

#5 (HOTEL) - HOLIDAY INN KEY LARGO - 20 MILES & 30 MINUTES
