The format is very simple. I'll demonstrate a technique, break it down into a few steps, and then the group breaks up into pairs to practice it for 5-10 minutes.
Then we come back together, ask questions, talk about what went right or wrong, then learn another technique! The last 15 minutes of class is for "positional sparring" Where we start in that position we've been working on, and try to make the moves happen against a teammate offering increasingly real resistance.
After the 1hr class the mat opens for any use. Stretching, live sparring, more technique drilling, questions for coach etc.
