Unsettled Scores is a not for profit, member-run choir where music lovers from all walks of life come together to rock out to the best of pop and rock. Based in NYC, we’re more than just a choir—we’re a creative community that welcomes everyone, regardless of musical experience, to express themselves through music.
At Unsettled Scores, we believe that everyone has something unique to contribute. Whether you’re singing, arranging, directing, or even playing along, we encourage our members to get involved and explore their creative potential. It’s not just about singing, it’s about collaboration and having a great time doing it.
We rehearse Wednesday evenings in Chelsea for our vibrant seasonal concerts, special showcases, and exciting gigs across the city. Over the past years, we’ve brought our energy to events like the Make Music NYC, the NYC Marathon, and even opened for the former Staten Island Yankees.

Calling all sopranos, altos, tenors and basses! Do you want to take your shower concerts to the next level and singin harmony with a group of ambitious amateur singers? This is your chance! For the upcoming Fall/Winter cycle, Unsettled Scores is looking to recruit a few new faces and voices. We rehearse weekly on Wednesdays at a convenient location in Manhattan! We have a minimum of 2 performances per cycle, and do a bunch of fun social activities on the side. We’re an inclusive community choir focused on singing pop/rock music from the 1960s to now, with people from all walks of life. Chances are though, we don’t have one of you yet, so consider this your personal invite! If you dabble on an instrument on the side, that’s even better because we like to play with live music whenever we can!
