Greenville downtown, at night, during the Holidays is a fun walk that you can enjoy with the family or neighbors.
Join The Upstate Pathfinders Meetup Group for this walk! Join us for our walks that you can do with the group, or on your own. Our noncompetitive walks are 3.1 miles (5 km) - It is not a race - but a fun, social activity.
We are the Upstate Pathfinders Volkssport Club, a not-for-profit club providing 11 interesting walks, available daily, at your pace, in many different locations throughout Greenville, SC. We are a part of the America's Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association), a nonprofit organization that sanctions Volkssport events in the U.S. These outdoor organized activities (walk, bike, swim) for everyone, regardless of age or physical condition. Seniors and minors (even in strollers), singles, couples, and families are all welcome. Leashed pets are allowed. You don’t have to be an athlete to be a Volkssporter!
Route: Will walk 5K primarily on Main St. visiting any displays or fun events.
Start: In the lobby of the Springhill Suites, 200 E. Washington St. Restrooms are available at the start, Falls Park .
Registration: Register between 5:00 and 5:30. Walk with the group. The group starts very shortly after 5:30. The walk is free for participants and donations are appreciated to offset insurance costs and Meetup Fees. Cost is $4 for participants who record walk events. Minors are free (Tip: bring the kids or grandkids). Please bring exact change and your small sticker address labels to speed up registration.
Parking: There is street parking (2 Hours) and at the garage at 12 S. Spring St. adjacent to the hotel.
Safety: Walk occurs regardless of the weather.
The walk is sanctioned by America's Walking Club and eligible for AVA/IVV Credit.
