North of San Francisco, there's an amazing part of California where rugged beaches meet the towering redwoods, and idyllic artsy towns dot the coastline. Here, you'll find scenic views around every corner and vast areas of unspoiled nature perfect for peaceful outdoor exploring. There are lots of must see places, like the famous Glass Beach, MacKerricher State Park, Noyo Harbor, Jackson State Forest and many more!

- 4-6 total miles of hiking

... And explore the Noyo Harbor, or visit the beautiful Russian Gulch Bridge!
... Or just chill at camp in a hammock with your favorite book!

- Camping for two nights at a hard to reserve Mendocino campground, just steps from the ocean.
- Meals: 2 breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, group dinner on Saturday

Not Included:
- Booze not included. BYOB!
- Sat lunch is not provided. We will enjoy local restaurants as we shop around town, so bring some $$ for your own lunch and drinks! :)
Attire: Please pack in layers with synthetic outdoor wear for both dry and wet weather. The weather is always unpredictable on the Coast! Please bring comfortable shoes and sturdy, comfortable hiking boots. Don't forget your sunscreen and sunglasses! Don't forget to bring your swimsuit if you dare take the Polar Plunge into the Pacific!

WHALE WATCHING
December through March is the best time to see whales along the California coast... and We are going to be hiking where we can catch a great site of them
WONDERFUL TIME AT THE BEACH
Fort Bragg is famous for its Glass beach. We will be able to enjoy its beauty and even go for a beachcombing and tide pooling afternoon! The beach is literally COVERED in naturally round seaglass. If you're not interested in the Glass beach, then you should be aware of the fact that Pomo Bluffs on Todd's point are breathtaking! Make sure you have enough space in your camera/smart phone because you will want to take lots of pictures and videos of these mesmerizing views!!
COASTAL & FOREST TRAIL HIKES
We will be taking a couple short to moderate hikes. We will be exploring the Mendocino Coast and it's hidden beaches and coastal trails. Jackson State Forest is not too far too, so we can explore the forest as well where we are likely to encounter gorgeous waterfalls, wild mushrooms, and all kinds of creatures.
