Hiking Twin Peaks After Dark
Join us for gorgeous and easy hike with mesmerizing views of the entire city. This hill is in the middle of the city and makes for the perfect night hike. The trail contains stairs so it'll make sure to get your leg workout for the day! We'll experience amazing views of the city, the Golden Gate Bridge and of the glistening ocean beyond.Come along for a special hike and meet some awesome, like-minded individuals who love getting outdoors in our beautiful Bay Area surroundings just like you!
This is an easy hike, around 4 miles from Glen Canyon Park to Twin Peaks. There are some stairs that are sure to tire you out, but there is more mellow flat paths than anything. We can take our sweet time, stop as much as we want, and make sure it's a fantastic afternoon for everyone!
What to Expect:
We'll meet at a delicious Mexican restaurant at the time specified. We can grab food to go and indulge as we reach Twin Peaks. When everyone has arrived, we will start hiking up Glen Canyon, a wild refuge among a bustling city, and a great spot for an urban hike! SF Park & Rec says, "The canyon itself, one of the City's Significant Natural Resource Areas, with naturally forested slopes, native chert outcroppings, and wild flower growths including important native San Francisco species." We will then hike up into the beautiful open space of Twin Peaks where you'll witness expansive views of our city from San Francisco's 2nd highest point at 922 feet above sea level! With a little luck, we might get a crystal clear night and have views for days and picture perfect memories!

Attire:
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers so we're prepared for whatever the weather will throw at us! The trail is more so exposed than it is covered (so prepare for both!) And it'll definitely be windy so LAYERS!
