To ensure everyone's safety, please bring headlamps as we might return in the dark. We recommend rechargeable Black Diamond headlamps such as the Astro 300-R (recommended), or the Storm 500-R which is the brighter choice. Trekking poles can help you maintain you balance, many of us use them regularly.

- Mt Wire & Red ButteThe Living Room Trail Head, Salt Lake City, UT
Bring spikes for potentially icy sections and poles if you use them for steep hikes. I want to do this clockwise so we ascend the shadowed/NE facing sections that may have ice/snow descend the steeper but sunnier face. There is a brief scramble on this one.
The History museum is open Sundays so DO NOT park in that lot - park on Colorow Rd. We will meet off that road here.
Length: 4.5 mi
Elevation gain: 2,165 ft
Route type:Loop
