Beginning the Autumn practice sessions, Lama Tashi will lead a mindfulness of breath meditation, the 4 extraordinary preliminary practices, and an Amitabha sadhana. Amitabha is the open hearted - open minded warmth and light that are present in compassion, healing, compassionate activity and we will rest in at the time of our death. Called the Buddha of Boundless Light the energy represented in this archetype is often also referred to as Boundless Love.
Repeating each of these practices, with their particular energies, will help those new to this kind of meditation become more comfortable , and be a reference should they wish to work with them outside of a group practice..
