Let's watch Roller Derby (really!)

Let's face it. You have probably NEVER watched Roller Derby live in person, but here's our chance to change that up. We'll go visit the second day of a two-day tournament and watch the rough and tumble world of Roller Derby, a sport filled with a lot of... let's say "interesting" people.

From their Facebook page: Red Red Tournament will be held on Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, at The Bearhouse 1701 Thornton Ave. in Sacramento.

We will be holding either a round-robin or double elimination style tournament with 20-minute games, no 1/2-time break. There will also be a 30-minute all-gender game and a 30-minute junior game. The tournament portion will not be open to skaters who identify as male. Female and non-binary identifying adult skaters can sign up for both the tournament and all-gender game if desired.

THIS IS AN ALL LEVEL TOURNAMENT- Skaters must have passed the minimum skills requirements. All levels will need to be cognizant of varying skill levels and play accordingly. Teams will be created so that skill levels and preferred skater positions will be balanced.
Must be 18 or older, and current WFTDA or USARS insurance is required.

Spectator tickets for Red Red:
General Admission $20 per day
Kid 8-17 $5
Kid 7 & under $0
