Black Friday Hike

Swap out your shopping bags for hiking boots this Black Friday and Opt Outside with us!

Stretch your legs and hike off some of your big Thanksgiving meal on this roughly 5-mile trek through Crow's Nest Preserve, a 712-acre Natural Lands property that along with neighboring Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, French Creek State Park, and State Game Lands 43 make up one of the largest areas of protected land in the region. We could hike all day here!

We will travel on trails that vary from earthen to rocky among rolling hills. Good hiking boots are a must. You may also want to bring hiking poles if you have them. Pack water and bring a lunch or snacks. Some of the trails are along field edges so sun protection is recommended.

A restroom is available at the parking area.
