Let's paint at Beaver Lake in Stanley Park!

Details

Note that the time is 11 am to 2 pm.

Beaver Lake is a small lake in Stanley Park, with a beaver dam, marshlands, ducks, geese and many other birds, and views of the lake and forest as you walk along the path that circles the lake. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk around the lake.

You could park on the west side of Pipeline Rd at the entrance to Tisdall Trail, facing south, or at the Stanley Park Railroad, Parking Lot #62. There are washrooms by this parking lot. Then walk north on Pipeline Rd, turning left on Tisdall Trail, then right onto Beaver Lake Trail as you reach the lake, walk a bit further to the meeting point in the clearing where Beaver Lake Trail and Ravine Trail meet. You'll see a concrete water run off area, a fence, a bench and a clearing near the water.

Buses take you to the Stanley Park Loop, near the railway, and then it's the same walk up Pipeline Rd and along the trails.

Bring whatever art supplies you prefer. There are plenty of benches along the trails and a wooden platform. You may want to bring a chair and a snack, and dress for the weather. The forecast is for clouds with a chance of rain earlier in the morning.

We'll meet at 11:00 then go our separate ways to explore the area, and then meet back again at 2:00 pm to share our work. I'll wait at the meeting spot for about 15 min. If you come late, just meet us at the end.

I look forward to meeting you there!
