Seeking Volunteer Organizers! (Not a Real Event)

Hi everyone, we are posting this 'event' to search for people who are interested in becoming volunteer organizers. Vancouver Pub Nights has grown, and we've had some organizers step down lately. So we need your help to keep things running smoothly.

If you are outgoing, enjoy meeting new people and making friends, and are passionate about making pub nights a warm and welcoming place for all, this is the role for you. We would prefer people who have been to a few events, although if you are new and interested please reach out anyway, and we will be happy to consider you after you've come to more events.

Here are what your responsibilities will be:

• Attend each pub night that you can (we're very flexible if you can't make it from time to time)
• Welcome members new and old to the event
• Identify yourself as an organizer, so people know who is leading the event
• Relay requests to the venue (e.g. Asking them to reduce the music volume)
• Bring safety concerns to the head organizer, and be there to support them if necessary
• Help book events with venues

The biggest thing is that you be a friendly face for people to come to. There is not much work to being an organizer, we run events only every 2 weeks, and 99% of the time you'll be hanging out like everyone else. However, it is still an important job that makes sure everyone is safe and comfortable, and having a good time.
