Vancouver Women Over 55

WELCOME TO VANCOUVER WOMEN OVER 55!! This is a private meetup and only other members see what is posted on the site.

MEMBERS SHOULD HAVE A PHOTO OF THEIR FACE
MEMBERS ARE LIMITED TO THE CITY OF VANCOUVER (see why at bottom) and not to Burnaby, New west, N. Van etc.
MEMBERS SHOULD NOT JOIN TO PROMOTE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.
MEMBERS SHOULD ONLY POST MEETUPS IN THE CITY OF VANCOUVER, NOT IN THE SUBURBS. TRIPS OUT-OF-TOWN ARE FINE.

We are a cooperative and are run by its members and we began 15 years ago. All members are encouraged to post meetups whenever they wish. Just message me and I will make you an Event Host and I can help you post if you don't know how. Suggestions are: ongoing coffee meetups, book clubs, walks, classes. Also one-time events such as house parties, restaurants, theatre, music, festivals.
Please help keep this meetup lively and active!

Meet intelligent, interesting fun-loving women of ANY age over 55 (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, etc.) for friendship, conversation, sharing ideas, laughs, and outings.
If your friends have moved away, if you are new in town, if you are single, widowed, divorced or married, and if you just feel a need for new friends and connections, then this is the place for you. If you are shy or hesitant, that's normal. Just jump right in and come one time and then you will wonder why you were ever tentative.
I know it's SCARY to go for the first time......nearly everyone is SCARED for their 1st time......but just GO and you will be warmly welcomed! 
Our members are compassionate and caring people. We welcome women from all areas: East Van, Van West-side, West End and South Van. We come in a variety of ages, shapes, sizes, ethnicities.
What is our purpose? Simply to make friends and build relationships.......everyone needs girlfriends! In our group, friendships are continually being made and strengthened.

MEMBERS ARE LIMITED TO THE CITY OF VANCOUVER ONLY since we want to make friends with whom we can visit back and forth easily, spontaneously and within easy distance (my apologies to Richmond, Burnaby, Delta, Surrey, N. Van and W. Van). I have been lucky to make friends a few blocks away, but still enjoy my friends from the East Side. This is not snobbism........ we are not aiming for a huge membership and this policy is strictly enforced. Hopefully other groups like this will spring up in the other areas. Why not? Take a chance, even if you start with 10 members; that's all you need.  Good luck to you!
