Do this walk to enjoy the River Thames and some of the historic locations at Windsor & Eton. Please note that this is a walk, not a guided tour.

We will be joining 'Hike for Charity' at the start of the hike, so this is a good opportunity to make new friends.

Carl R will lead the walk.

**Travel**

* Travel with Carl by car from Reading to Windsor (return)
or
* Make your own way to the start at Windsor & Eton Riverside Station.
There is parking at Windsor and Eton Queens car park, King Edward V11 car park or Home Park car park.

**Hike facts**
Start: 10.40am from Windsor and Eton Riverside railway station.
Finish: Windsor and Eton Riverside railway station.
Length: Approximately 16 km/10 miles
Duration: walking time, circa 4 hours
Hike grade: easy. We will maintain a steady pace over varied surfaces.

What to take: a packed lunch and plenty of water.

**Walk description**
Starting from the station, we'll stroll alongside the River Thames and Jubilee River to reach Eton, and its [world-famous College](https://www.britannica.com/topic/Eton-College).

After our lunch break, we’ll continue along the Thames Path and then cross the river. After a while we join the Long Walk, the tree-lined avenue that leads up to [Windsor castle](https://www.rct.uk/visit/windsor-castle).

At the end of the Long Walk, we’ll be back in Windsor town where we end our adventure. As always, everyone is welcome to join us for a drink or two before heading home.

**Costs**

If you are traveling from Reading to Windsor with Carl a donation of £2 per person is requested for the return journey.
