Vedanta Reading & Conversation

Please bring a friendly attitude, an open mind, and, preferably, a sense of humor.

We will start reading the biography the 19th century Indian saint (and, as some believe, avatar) Sri Ramakrishna. The book was originally written by Sri Ramakrishna's disciple, Swami Saradandanda, in the Bengali language.

There are two English translations available.

We will read together as a group. During the reading, we will pause frequently and everybody can share their thoughts and perspectives.

As to the book itself, you have a few options: You can buy the translation I'm using. Or you can follow along in the older translation that is available for free online. Or just show up and listen to the reading during our meetup.

It's totally ok to come to some of the meetups even if you can't come to all of them.
