VSDC Volunteer Day at Peaceful Fields Sanctuary in Winchester

Details

Join us for a VSDC volunteer day at Peaceful Fields Sanctuary in Winchester.

It takes a community of dedicated people to make Peaceful Fields Sanctuary what it is. Peaceful Fields could not pursue their mission without the generous support of volunteers who pledge their time, resources, and energy for the residents.

The time will be spent entirely outdoors doing manual labor and care provision. You may work amongst chickens, turkeys, ducks, and pigmy goats. Boots/muck or rain boots that can get muddy and dirty are recommended. No open-toed shoes. Wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. The volunteer day is rain or shine.

Bring a reusable water bottle; water will be available on-site. You are welcome to bring your own vegan snacks.

Please arrive early so we can begin promptly at 11:00 am. When you arrive, please park in the grass in front of the house.

If you need a ride or want to carpool, please post your request on the event page. Please use good sense when accepting a ride from someone you don't know. VSDC cannot take responsibility for the outcome of shared rides.

Children must be 12+ years old and accompanied by an adult.

You are welcome to bring fresh produce as a treat for the animals at the end (apples, strawberries, grapes, bananas, etc).
