We're hosting volunteer days at Skylands Animal Sanctuary And Rescue in Wantage!

Arrive a little early because waivers need to be signed (your first time volunteering only). If anything comes up and you need to cancel, let us know ASAP, so that we may fill your spot.

Must be 16 or older. 14, if with a parent. 👦👧🧒

Things you might do while volunteering: cleaning animals' stalls (scooping poop!), sweeping barns, replacing old and dirty hay with new hay, clean and fill waterers, rake, cleaning feed bowls, petting goats, dusting, mopping, cuddling cows, etc.

Highly recommend bringing a water bottle, work gloves, work boots (even in the summertime), and wearing layers because even if it's cold outside, it might get warm inside the barns.

Let us know if you have any food allergies. Of course, all food on site will always be vegan.

And yeah, after lunch (which is around 2pm), we go hang with some of the animals. 😊

I highly suggest bringing a mask to wear, in the event we are inside the barns. 😷 We will be in close quarters with each other and a whole lot of 💩 and pee smells with some persistent dust. Sometimes we do outside work, too.
