This is a combined trip with the Vero Beach Power Squadron, who has invited us to join them on this month's trip.

Our Paddle Group outing is Saturday December 7 to see the white pelicans which have migrated back to our area. We will launch at 8:45 AM from Jungle Trail just outside the southern boundary of Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge.

You are welcome to bring your own equipment. Rentals are available. For those who need to rent kayaks, Maddy at Adventure Kayak Tours (772-538-3265/772-567-0522) will provide them to us at a special rate for $35 single/$60 tandem -- please call Maddy directly to make your kayak reservations.
**Directions:**
On the east side of the Wabasso Bridge, turn north on Jungle Trail off Wabasso Road (County Route 510). Travel north on Jungle Trail for about a few miles until you reach the sign for the Wildlife Refuge (do not enter the Refuge). Everyone must park on the same side of Jungle Trail to prevent obstacles to local traffic. Since parking is limited, please carpool with your favorite "yaker"--not a talkative person but one that loves to kayak!!

**Please bring the following:**
Life jacket (Maddy provides these when renting), required by the Coast Guard
Water Shoes (closed-toe are best to prevent cuts)
Hat
Sunscreen
Water
Insect repellent
Waterproof Camera or dry case for phone

Minors are allowed to attend if accompanied by a parent/guardian, but they must be able to paddle and keep up with the adults.

Please be there and ready to go by 8:45 am so we can be on the water by 9. We should return between 11am-noon.

Afterwards we may gather somewhere for lunch (TBD)
