TAKE NOTE OF THE NEW LOCATION FOR THE DECEMBER EDITION

We are spicing things up for our Holiday Season edition!

December 21, we will be in the auditorium of the Cook Street Village Activity Centre (380 Cook Street) for our Special Multigenerational Edition of Meet A Stranger. Young parents, come mingle with the Boomer generation.

That's right! For the December event only, parents who have not been able to attend due to childcare barriers are invited to bring their kids along with something to keep them entertained while adults have a meaningful conversation with a stranger. Children won't be participating in the conversations, and while we will be asking a volunteer to play with the kids, parents are fully responsible for their little ones.

Hopefully this lively chaos will help alleviate social isolation that many may be feeling at this time of year.

As always, participants will be asked to drop their name in a jar for pairings that will be done after a short introduction from the organizers.

Drinks/Snacks
Note that the Cook Street Village has a café service that will be open until 3pm. Participants will be able to purchase coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks directly from them. These are offered at a reasonable price and they help the Centre run its fabulous programs. Mama Nadia’s Kitchen will then be open from 3-8:30 pm for food and drinks.

To build together, we need to work together. So please come with an open mind, an open heart, and a touch of patience to the Cook Street Village Activity Centre (380 Cook Street) on Dec. 21 as we continue to find commonality through connection, one conversation at a time.

Release
We are facilitating these gatherings to contribute to building a healthy community in which we get to know other community members regardless of their age, gender, or social background. By agreeing to participate, you understand the risks involved and you do not hold Jacinthe, Carrie, and the Meet a Stranger project responsible for any harm that might arise.
