This part of Francis King Park includes the Marsh Trail and the Elsie King Trail. The walk is moderate and poles would be helpful if you use them. With the potential of some wet trails, shoes with good grip and maybe even waterproof would be advised.

We will meet in the main parking lot by the Nature Centre where toilet facilities are available. Please arrive between 12:45 and 12:55. We will leave promptly at 1:00 pm. You may want to come early and explore the Nature Centre before the walk.

Follow the Trans-Canada Highway from Victoria, and take the Helmcken Road exit. Turn left on Burnside Road West, then right on Prospect Lake Road. From Prospect Lake Road travel 300m and turn left on Munn Road, which leads to the park entrance on the right.

Parking is limited so you may want to consider carpooling. If there are no spots in the parking lot, you can park on the side of the road provided your tires are completely off the pavement.
