What we’re about
The Vienna-Falls Chorus is for women who enjoy singing, performing and even competing! We are a part of Region 14 and Sweet Adelines International. We competed with choruses from all over the world at the 2019 Sweet Adelines International Competition in the New Orleans.
We meet every Tuesday for our weekly rehearsal in Tysons, VA and welcome any and all women who love to sing! Our members are of all ages, all walks of life, all levels of training and experience. The one thing we ALL have in common is our love and passion for bringing music to life for ourselves and others. Members are not required to read music - we have a great library of learning tracks available for all who learn by ear. When you attend on of our rehearsals, new guests will be privately voice placed in a separate room by our small team of chorus members (2-3 ladies) who will listen to your vocal skills and range and place you in one of the four barbershop voice parts to start. These four parts are bass, baritone, lead and tenor. You will then be placed on the risers with sheet music and a "riser buddy" who sings your voice part so you can follow along during rehearsal. For those who may be nervous about singing in front of others - no worries there - we are a chorus, not a group of soloists competing for solos. We help each other in a friendly and welcoming environment to be the best singer you want to be and develop your skills. For those looking for a more individual experience and performing opportunities, quartetting is available as well!
We have an amazing repertoire of music - jazz, broadway, ballads, holiday, patriotic.... this list goes on! All songs are performed in the barbershop tradition of four part harmony, making it irresistible to love!
