What we’re about
This is a group for over 50 (physically, certainly not mentally) folks to get together socially in a variety of venues. Everyone has a chance to suggest their favorite activity and have others join them. Everyone has a chance to participate in a new activity by joining what's suggested. Activities can be anything from golf, dinner, dancing, having a home BBQ, attending a concert, or board game night. Or, in other words, a chance for us "over 50" folks to make new friends.
This is not a dating group. We are a social group, just wanting to get out and make friends and enjoy all the activities that Virginia has to offer!

Final notice: Will decide on Wednesday 11/27 if we have enough signed up to get the group discount. As of today, we still need quite a few more to make it so if you want to do it, recommend you call and pay for your reservation today. I will most likely close RSVPs at that time as well, so no late signups/payments.
This is a multi-meetup group event and not open to the public.

You need to register/pay for the event as noted below by calling the glass studio to save your spot for this event. RSVPing here will not retain your spot without paying for it in advance.
Here is how you pay for your spot:
Call the Chrysler Museum Glass studio at 757-333-6299. Tell them it is for the Meetup event with Kevin W. on Friday 12/6 from 6-9. Pay the fee.
NOTE: The group rate cost is going to be $60 (minimum of 8 required to get the rate, vice the normal $75). There is NO signup the day of the event or pay when you arrive option. You must reserve your spot by paying in advance. Spots are limited. Will let you know at least one week before the event if there are not enough signed up to get the group rate so you can decide if you still want to pay the normal price.
The night of the event, you will decide:
Which one of the following 3 crafts you will do-
solid star shaped paperweight
or
Christmas ornament (only blown glass option)
or
solid heart shaped paperweightWhat colors you want to use for your craft item.

It starts at 6, but if you are running late/can't get there at the start/etc... that is fine as they will be starting to work with those who show up first to the event. They are limited as to how many folks they can actively work with on the craft at one time using the tools/furnaces/etc.... As those folks finish their craft, they will take the next group of folks who showed up next up through the rest of the time period until everyone has gone.
There is free parking in the Chrysler Museum lot across the street from the Glass Studio. NOTE: glass studio is not in the museum but across the street.
You will not be able to take your craft home the night of the event as it needs to cool for a couple of days. They will call you when you can come pick up your craft.

I did the pumpkin there last month and have not decided if I will actually participate for this event yet, but will come out to support you that night.
