What we’re about
Hi! This group was formed to help bring together the VR Gamer families in Philadelphia, specifically elementary school age. We are an inclusive group with an intent to build a community around shared interests and understanding. We’ll have rotating meetups in various settings so that the kids can play (VR and/or other activities) while the parents can socialize and meet other gamer parent friends.
The idea of uniting a local VR Gaming community was born after a trip this past summer to VidCon in California. As a parent, I was brought to tears to see my son in person with hoards of other kids just like him (with their VR headsets on their head) fawning over their favorite VR content creators (especially Jmancurly!) and speaking the same lingo. My son had never been happier, nor felt more accepted while we were attending this conference and I swore to myself I would try to recreate the village and community back home in Philadelphia.
