Welcome to the VRBL
Easy, fun, recreational soccer and beginners are welcome!!! We've been around for almost 20 years now and are looking for more men and women to join us for a fun soccer experience! We welcome players that are new to the game as well as highly skilled players. Our only requirement is that you keep it RECREATIONAL! Don't worry, you'll still get a good work out! Our games are for fun, exercise and socialization....no refs, no scorekeeping, just playing the game we all love to play.
Games are at South Run in Springfield on Friday evenings at 8:00pm. We will post additional logistical details in the events for each week. We'll divide up into teams just prior to the game so try to arrive at least 5 - 10 minutes prior to the game so we don't lose any play time. The cost is $10 per game.
If you sign up to play, please show up! Or cancel your RSVP in a timely manner so someone on the wait list can be moved up into your slot. Habitual no-shows will be charged for the game! We usually have people on the wait list and we want everyone to get the opportunity to play.
Wear a white or black shirt but bring one of each. Shin guards are optional. Turf shoes are allowed but no hard cleats. Stick around after the game to share a few pitchers of beer and get to know everyone!
And lastly, we enforce the over 30 age requirement. Exceptions may be made but must be approved in advance by the organizers.
Please do not join this meetup if you are looking for a highly competitive league! Hard shots on goal are not permitted. And aggressive play isn't tolerated here. We're all about fun, exercise and camaraderie.
