Sunday walk at Thompson Park

Let’s do about 5 miles in Thompson Park - at a moderate pace. This park is one of the prettiest in our area. Trails range from dirt to paved. Plenty of water views, wooded areas, open fields. A great place to view wildlife. The park is flat to rolling, with a few areas of short ups and downs, uneven terrain and tree roots. Hiking boots/shoes are suggested. Poles if you think you’ll need them. Things to bring: Water, bug spray, sun protection. We will meet in the parking area near the Mansion (with restrooms), in the first parking lot on the Right - off of the Main Entrance from Newman Springs Rd (Rt 520). Please arrive a few minutes early, to gear up, use restroom, meet others. As with this group’s policy, please leave your furry friends at home. I’ll be next to my White Subaru Crosstrek, with black roof and kayak rack.
