Bakewell to Chatsworth 8/9 miles

This is a walk from one of Peak Districts great market towns to one of the Peak Districts great stately homes, returning through the estate of the medieval Haddon Hall. The walk gives fine views across the landscape of Capability Brown and Joseph Paxton as it winds its way through the Chatsworth estate.
Starting in Bakewell visitor centre at 11am. There are various pay and display car parks and some free street parking if you get there early enough.
We are then heading towards Chatsworth where we will have coffee and maybe lunch on the steps of Queen Marys tower in the grounds of Chatsworth house. We will then follow the path along the river Derwent towards Rowsley where we could have a pub stop. From Rowsley heading back towards Bakewell following the river Wye
