New Year's Day Eight Mile Hucknall to Newstead Abbey Walk

Join us for an eight-mile New Year's Day walk to burn off some of those Christmas calories from Hucknall to Newstead Abbey.

Starting from the Hucknall tram stop we head through the suburbs of Hucknall along the River Leen to Papplewick before reaching Newstead Abbey for a refreshment and comfort break.

We then head back to Hucknall via Linby and the suburbs of Hucknall.

Sunday service operates on the trams but there is no longer any free parking at the Hucknall Tram stop.

The best advice for those coming by car is to find your parking in Hucknall or park at the Moor Bridge tram stop and purchase a short hop Hucknall Zone tram ticket for £1.50 to Hucknall. At the end of the walk, you then buy the same ticket for the return journey from Hucknall to Moor Bridge meaning you will have spent three pounds in total for car parking at Moor Bridge along with the short tram ride to and from Hucknall.
