Let's enjoy a walk through this charming, family oriented neighborhood and savour the multitude of Christmas lights and decorations!

Bundle up - it's getting cold out there! Don't forget to bring warm footwear with good traction and hot beverages!

We'll take short periodic breaks throughout the route to consume our hot beverages.

This is one Meetup you don't want to miss!

Our route will take us through the Kingsway neighborhood featuring homes with stone exteriors, intricate brick patterns, decorative wrought-iron railings and porch lamps. Along Government road, we'll savor the Victorian and Edwardian architecture from the late 1800s and early 1900s. This area is beautifully adorned with traditional Christmas decorations.

The highlight of the route is Home Smith Park Road. This 1.5 km stretch of road that runs adjacent to the Humber River is the epitome of tranquility and solitude. The nearby rushing waters and cascading waterfalls will allow you to lose yourself in the serenity of the moment.

We should arrive back at Royal York Subway station for 8:30 pm.

We'll maintain a 3.5 to 4.0 Km/hour pace.

Don't forget to bring something to drink and a small snack.

We meet for 6:45 pm and we leave at 7:00 pm at the very latest.

I allow a 15 minute waiting period that takes into account events beyond our control during transit to the Meetup location.

If you don’t think you will arrive by 7 pm, please text me (not call) at 416 807 7596 using Whatsapp and I will allow you access to my phone’s location and you can meet up with us. Please text me before 6:45 pm.

Once the event begins, I put my phone away in order to concentrate on running the Meetup event for the members that have arrived.

If you need a ride to the Meetup, try leaving a message on the Meetup message board. I've found there are many generous people in the group who I believe would be glad to be of assistance. If you need a ride after the Meetup, just ask around - nobody gets left behind!
