Wampum Chapter, North Country Trail Association Meetup

The Closing the Gaps Committee is meeting on Monday, December 2nd at 6:00 PM at the Columbiana, Ohio Library and we invite your participation. The group will be looking at county maps to explore opportunities to move the North Country National Scenic off of the road walks and into the woods as well as following up on projects that are currently in negotiation or under review by the National Park Service.

The Wampum Chapter is responsible for the trail between Zoar, OH and McConnell's Mill State Park in PA and there is plenty of work to do.

All input is appreciated so come on out on Monday evening and see what it's about.

Join us for a Christmas Eve morning hike on December 24, 2024 at 9am. This is a moderate hike, 5-6 miles with a few steeper hills.

We’ll meet at the Beaver Creek State Park Pioneer Village parking lot (12021 Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool OH 43920) and head east to Gretchen’s Lock before turning back. Feel free to bring some cookies to share afterward!

It's a perfect opportunity to spend some time outdoors amid the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

Celebrate 2025 with a nice hike on the North Country Trail! We'll start in Darlington and head west to Louthan Road before heading back. This is roughly 5.5 miles total and is not considered to be a beginner's hike, mostly due to the steep hill at the start of the route. We'll go at a moderate pace. Please wear appropriate footwear and be sure to bring some water. Looking forward to starting off the new year on the right foot!
