Located on the Kyoto-Osaka border, Ponpon Mountain offers scenic views and is known for the “pon pon” echoing footsteps at its summit. Popular with hikers, especially on New Year’s Day, the trails start near local temples and provide rest spots with benches and tables at the top. After the hike, let's grab some beer in Kirin City Takatsuki (Optional: No reservation, might not visit due to crowds.) 🍻

📍 Meeting Point: JR Mukomachi (向日町駅) Station, 9:15 am to take a bus leaving at 9:20am. Note: Restroom and convenience store (5min, 250m away) available.
Please let me know beforehand if you would like to take a bus from Hankyu Higashi Muko (東向日駅) Station leaving at 9:27.

• 9:15 am Gather at JR Mukomachi (向日町駅) Station.
• 9:20 am Take a bus to Yoshimine Temple (善峯寺)
• 10:00 am Explore Yoshimine Temple (善峯寺) (¥500 for entry fee)
• 11:30 am Arrival at Shakadake (釈迦岳) summit
• 12:00 pm Arrival at Ponpon summit
• 1:30 pm Arrival at Honzan Temple (本山寺)
• 3:30 pm Arrival at Kabusan Temple (神峯山寺)
• 4:00 pm Concluding the hike at Kabusan Bus Stop (神峰山口バス停)
• 4:00 pm~: Getting on the bus to Takatsuki Sta and Grab beer (Optional)

🚨 Disclaimer: Participants are responsible for their safety and must be punctual. Schedule subject to change due to weather or trail conditions, and hiking may be canceled for safety reasons. Participants will be notified at least 12 hours before the meeting time.
Avoid canceling within 12 hours of the start time, except for unavoidable circumstances. Failure of confirmed participants to attend may result in reconsideration for future events.

京都と大阪の境界に位置するポンポン山は、山頂で足音が「ポンポン」と響くことで有名です。特に元旦の日の出を楽しむため多くのハイカーに親しまれています。ハイキングコースは、周辺の寺院から始まり、山頂にはベンチとテーブルがあり、休憩が可能です。ハイキングの後、Kirin City Takatsukiでビールを楽しむこともできます（任意：予約していないため混雑状況により立ち寄れない可能性あり）。🍻

📍 集合場所: JR向日町駅 9:15集合、9:20発のバスに乗車。トイレやコンビニは徒歩5分（250m）圏内にあります。
