Name: John Rock Hike - Pisgah National Forest

Join Hailey on a 4.6-mile hike in Pisgah National Forest! John Rock is an outcropping overlooking the mountains, including a fantastic view of Looking Glass Rock. We will take the Cat Gap Trail to the John Rock Loop Trail. This hike is rated as Moderate, but do be aware that there is a 1,000 ft. total elevation gain.

Meet in the Fish Hatchery parking lot at 10:00. This is where the trailhead is located.

Afterwards, we will head over to Appalachian Mountain Brewery in Mills River for some lunch and drinks.

Leashed dogs are welcome on this hike and at the brewery (even inside!).

As winter is approaching and the temps are falling, please dress appropriately for the weather! Layers will be your friend on this hike.
