Hello and welcome to Watford Social meetup group

This group has been running for 10+ years now to allow people in the area - and beyond - to meet new people, take part in different activities with a group of like minded folk.... and above all... make new friends

Many of us have moved into the area over the years - or been through divorce or separation.

This group has given us a way to get out and explore, in a relaxed environment and has led to many long term friendships. This as well as providing a good few laughs and memorable moments along the way !

More embarrassing for some than others 🤣

Everyone involved in organising and managing this group does so in their spare time - and all donations collected go towards paying the meetup app fees and paying deposits for certain events

We are definitely a "not for profit" group.

So we do ask members to put a few £££ in the kitty every 6 months or so to keep things going

We also ask that if you rsvp to an event saying you're coming - then realise you cant - you change your rsvp to not going asap. This gives others a chance to attend and makes life easier for the event organisers (who will be looking out for you otherwise)

It's also polite - so please do check your rsvp's as "no shows" may result in you being removed from the group

Above all, have fun, meet new people and try new things

We run a diverse inclusive group - so please leave negativity or general sniping at the door.
