Waynesville Acoustic Guitar Group

The goal of this Meetup is to be a place where you can:

1. Play and sing with other guitarists.
2. Share songs you like, or wrote, and show us how to play.
3. Learn new songs and expand your repertoire.
4. Offer playing tips to others and learn new tips.
5. Appreciate and encourage fellow players.
6. Gain confidence in your playing/singing.
7. "Showboating" has its place but--it's not here.
   To join us, you should:
8. Have a guitar and capo.
9. Be open to most kinds of music (but no classical or rap)
10. Bring copies of lyrics/chords for songs you want to play for everyone signed up or suggest songs you would like to lead using "Ultimate Guitar" music that will be projected on a large flat screen that is in the room (provided by Folkmoot).
11. Be able to play at least basic chords, e.g. A, Am, B, Bm, C, D, Dm, E, Em F, G, …
12. Show appreciation and encouragement for others' efforts.
13. Armless chairs are available to sit on while playing.
14. A small cash donation to Folkmoot would be appreciated. Donations to Folkmoot will be collected the day of the event.
