What we’re about

Are you looking for a community to support you and/or accountability in just sitting down and writing? Whatever's going on, I think getting together to write can be really helpful. Maybe make a few friends, learn a few writing tips - but most importantly, this is a time to just sit down and do that writing thing.

All kinds of writers are welcome. We check in and share what we're up to for the first fifteen minutes, then write for an hour quietly (turning off camera/audio), then at the end we check back in and if we feel moved, we can say how it went. Come and go as you like.

Things that could be discussed:
• Projects - imagined, pending, in progress, successes!
• Network with other writers and cheer each other on
• Share tips on writing techniques, staying motivated, anything we find helpful

Whether you are just beginning to write or a published professional - you are welcome - no judgement. Whatever genres or form (poetry, novels, journaling, etc.) - you are welcome. Please remember - I am unpaid and am just looking to start a writing community.

Meetings can occur on Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday through Friday mornings. I take Saturdays off.

This is not a formal critique group however if you want to make this happen, I will assist you by providing the time and space. You'll have to do the rest.

The rules
I am hoping to build a community of committed writers. The whole point of the group is to attend the meetings and connect - participation is required. If you do not participate on a regular basis (at least once a month), you will be removed.

Your avatar needs to be of your face and your camera needs to be on during the portion of the meetup where we are chatting.

You need to RSVP 24 hours in advance to be able to see the link to the meeting. Change your RSVP if you can't come after all; if you find out you can't come with less than 24 hours notice, just post on the event to let me know. Communication is key!

Be cool, my friends. Use your home training. Don't spam the group. Keep your drama with your mama. Be kind, mindful and open-minded. Don't yuck other people's yum.
