Welcome to the Southwest Ohio Backyard Chickens Meetup Group! If you have a passion for all things poultry, then this is the group for you. This community is dedicated to connecting backyard chicken enthusiasts in the Southwest Ohio area. Whether you're a seasoned chicken keeper or just starting out, join us to share tips, experiences, and knowledge about raising and caring for our feathered friends. Wondering what kind of events we might have? Well, unlike a dog group, we can’t go to a park to walk with our furry friends and chat and throw balls (not that strolling with a chicken wouldn’t be a spectacle!). However, county and state fair season is coming up — there will be several opportunities to attend those together (and who doesn’t LOVE fair food?). There may also be opportunities to meet to discuss how we can influence local leaders to allow (and appreciate) the benefits of responsible and respectful backyard flocks. I’m open to suggestions!
