Boxmoor, Roughdown, Bovingdon Circular Walk

Join us for an old favourite, with fantastic views. Slight variation to it. There is one incline.

We will leave @ 10:30 prompt from the church seat, opposite the Three Blackbirds pub HP1 1NR. Please get there early. Free on street parking anywhere near. Check signs.

From there we walk across the moor and up across the railway tracks 🚂 to Roughdown common. Magnificent views from up there. We’ll saunter our way across a field and eventually down to Bovingdon Church ⛪️ Then trek the Old Roman Road to an enclosed wood 🪵 all the way down to the newly formed Boxmoor Trust trail. Then head towards the canal and back to our rendezvous point. Have drink and nibbles when we’re back 🍺 🫚

The walk will take roughly 2.5-3 hrs and is approx 6.5 miles.
